Why Do We Exist?

Because Jesus Christ is, in fact, King! And in Him, we find life’s meaning!

The Church exists so that God may share His Life with the world. At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was given as the Lifeblood of the Church. When we come to the sacraments we receive the life God is sharing. This grace enhances the good we experience, it strengthens our weakness and molds our view of everything around us.

Having God’s own life in us, we are sent to bring the Good News of life in Christ to the world. We share his love through acts of charity and kindness. We lift up and encourage strangers and those well known by our words and actions.

As we receive what God shares and offer His love to others we follow the two Great Commandments and become fully alive.

Jesus came that we might have abundant life and we grow more fully alive as we look at more and more aspects of life through the lens of God’s redeeming love.

We exist because God the Father loves us, because God the Son saves us, and because God the Spirit makes us Holy.

The whole of Christian faith only makes sense in light of the life and preaching of Jesus Christ. Listen to Fr. Erik explain how God’s plan plays out in time and history.
