ABOUT DEACON MATTHEW GLOVER
Deacon Matt Glover grew up at Holy Souls and graduated from Catholic High. He earned his undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies, summa cum laude, at Loyola University New Orleans in 2001. He entered the seminary spending the next three years at the North American College in Rome, earning a Master’s level Degree in Sacred Theology, magna cum laude. He discerned God’s call elsewhere and upon leaving the seminary in 2005 taught at both Mount St. Mary and Catholic High.
He undertook the study of law at the William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock, and earned his J.D. in 2008 with high honors. He clerked for federal judge Leon Holmes and then joined the Wright, Lindsey & Jennings law firm. He began work for Bishop Taylor and the Diocese of Little Rock in 2012, and in 2015 earned his Licentiate in Canon Law from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He currently serves as Chancellor for Canonical Affairs and General Counsel for the Diocese. He is married with two small children, and in May 2016 he was ordained a Deacon and assigned to Christ the King Parish in Little Rock.
