Confirmation

A Deepening of Our Christian Identity

Confirmation is a Catholic sacrament of mature Christian commitment and a deepening of baptismal gifts.  It is a  Sacrament of faith in God’s fidelity to us and completes the baptismal gift of grace. It enriches the recipient with a special strength of the Holy Spirit, unites the person more firmly to Christ, and completes the person’s initiation into full membership in the Church.

Students in the 7th and 8th Grades preparing for Confirmation will participate in a two-year Sacramental Program focusing on Knowledge, Service and Formation.

Students entering the 7th and 8th Grades will participate in Religious Education Classes at either Christ the King School or in CTK's Sunday Youth Faith Formation Program (Y.F.F.)

Both 7th and 8th Grade Students will engage in Service Opportunities.

Beginning in the 8th Grade both students and parents should be prepared to attend Sunday Night Confirmation Formation Classes.

Dates for these sessions will be provided at the yearly Parent / Student Confirmation Meeting.
